Alter Ego Rehab wants to move you. Formed on a whim amongst friends, AER has created a collection of songs that touch many genres - rock, folk, funk, blue-grass, and grunge. Randy Riddle (Core Effect) teamed with producer Kevin Williams (Elsie Binx, Core Effect) in the summer of 2022 with the plan of creating one song. Along with bassist Phil Steuer, guitarist Jonny Neville and drummer Darin Curtis (all of Elsie Binx), the vision of creating a new Detroit sound emerged. The chemistry was immediate, and each song was crafted in under an hour. The songs are heartfelt and transparent glimpse of making it through life's challenges.

The recordings were made in a log cabin on Bois Blanc Island in northern Michigan. The serene atmosphere poured itself into the songs. After the initial recordings, Alter Ego Rehab recruited the likes of superstars Thornetta Davis (singer), Michael Cleveland (fiddle), John Douglas (trumpet), Delaney Natke (singer), Dale Grisa (accordian/piano), Raye Williams (singer), Obed (congas) and Andrew Nichols (sax).

The band's first single, Get By, is a heavy groove that showcases what Detroit musicians can offer. Share these songs with the world!!
